Physical Therapy

At Chiropractic Spine Center, we teach our patients exercises which can help strengthen and rehabilitate irregularities in their body which may be contributing to their pain. First, we make the joint healthier, and then strengthen it so that it can stay that way! Targeted corrective exercises and stretches support the healing process and helps to prevent future pain and injury. Continued exercise is important to maintain wellness and live a balanced life.

Nutritional Advice

Dr. Nick addresses specific pain symptoms and conditions in patients through chiropractic, but we often find that external lifestyle factors may contribute to underlying conditions. Making changes in nutritional intake are sometimes recommended, depending on the patient’s personal situation. We frequently co-treat and work with other providers in order to ensure patients are getting the best treatment and care.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy helps your body achieve balance and health. Chiropractic Spine Center provides medical massage services based on each patient’s personal needs and diagnosis. The benefits of massage therapy include increased blood circulation, a localized reduction in swelling, and the relaxation of muscles. Massage has also been known to relieve muscle pain and spasms, increase a patient’s range of motion, and aid in recovery.

Spinal & Postural Screenings

Spinal and postural screening services allow Dr. Nick to identify how your posture affects your underlying symptoms. Through this manual and computerized evaluation, we are able to alleviate stress on delicate nerve fibers and help to correct imbalances in the spine. These screenings provide us with a better understanding of the patient’s current condition.

Acupuncture & Needling

Acupuncture is an ancient health science which is used to successfully treat pain and dysfunction in the body. It is a technique that uses very thin needles in key points along the meridians through which energy travels through to promote healing in conditions from arthritis, fibromyalgia, sciatica, and more.

Gua-Sha & Cupping

Gua-Sha is an ancient Eastern-Asian technique that uses a stone tool to improve the microcirculation in muscle tissues. With increased blood flow, stagnant energy may be released to the surface of your skin. Inflammation and tightness are stimulated and seen by redness, heat, and petechiae. Cupping is a natural way to treat soft tissue injuries such as sprains and strains, tendinitis, sciatica, and more. Cupping pulls the blood and lactic acid found in deep muscle tissue to the surface layers of the skin, allowing for the lymphatic system to flush out toxins that contribute to muscle soreness. Cupping also helps increase mobility by breaking up the body’s fascia if it has become stiff.

Spinal Decompression

Nonsurgical spinal decompression helps relieve back pain by stretching the spine allowing for a reduced pressure within the disc while increasing the volume aiding in rehydrating degenerative discs and reducing pressure on the spinal cord from lesions like disc herniations and bulges. The goal of spinal decompression is to take pressure off the spinal discs, which can help take pressure off nerves and vertebrae. Spinal decompression promotes movement of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluid so that the discs may heal.

Adjunctive Therapy

Therapeutic ultrasound is used to treat chronic pain and promotes tissue healing. Ultrasound therapy provides deep heating to the soft tissue which increases blood circulation to that tissue. In the same way, interferential current therapy relaxes tight muscles and aids in dispersing inflammation. Better blood circulation provides the muscle tissue with increased levels of oxygen and nutrients that are used to repair damaged muscle fibers and cells. We use adjunctive therapy in conjunction with chiropractic manipulation to promote healing.
